This one comes with a trigger warning, especially if you aren't accustomed to British humour. It is satirical and not my actual views. And it is animated, by me. And features me, or at least my alter ego (but people who know me will probably say, yeah that's 100% you).
I created Pete Elsewhere as a means to explore deeper character development. Not just the look and style but who he is as a personality, how he moves and what he says. Writing dialogue is fairly new to me and it was challenging, but it's true when they say write what you know and for me it's the creative industry and hipster culture!
I've always loved world building and creating original characters, and with Pete I'm rolling him out for social media which requires a different way of writing. It also requires more content and faster which is why I also wanted to find a quicker animation pipeline while not compromising on my own style. So I went back to the Rokoko Smart Suit II for mocap, including gloves and the iPhone facial capture app, and bought a cheap clip mic so I didn't have to record dialogue seperately. Each scene was 2 to 3 takes. I trained Midjourney on my own artwork and photos to generate backgrounds and then cleaned up the abominations in photoshop.
