I had some downtime and wanted to work on a few illustrations based on music video ideas that haven't come to fruition...yet.
Having recently upgraded my work station I wanted to push it's render capabilities to it's limits, and I'm a big fan of complex, detailed, layered work so created this Mandala based on a fictional one-eyed Octopus god. I kept adding to it until the frame was filled with detail. I rendered using Vray, and took 90 minutes to render a 1190px x 1700px image.
